Order Confirmation
What should a COD confirmation message say?
Direct answer
State who you are, what was ordered, the exact total to prepare in cash, the delivery address on file, and one binary question: reply YES to confirm or NO to cancel. Keep it short, write it in the customer's language, and send it within minutes of checkout.
The template
Hi [name], this is [store]. We received your order: [item] x [qty] Total to pay on delivery: [amount] EGP Delivering to: [address] Reply YES to confirm and we ship today, or NO to cancel.
Every element earns its place: the total kills doorstep surprise, the address catches typos while they are still free to fix, and the binary question makes replying effortless.
Rules that lift response rates
- One question only. Do not stack "confirm your order, also rate our store, also join our channel."
- Exact total, including shipping and fees. Rounding or hiding fees is how refusals happen.
- The customer's language. Egyptian Arabic or Franco for most Egyptian customers; English where they wrote in English. Match how they talk.
- A deadline with a benefit. "Reply within 2 hours and it ships today" reads as service, not pressure.
- Human tone. Write like a helpful shop assistant, not a legal notice.
Beyond the first message
Real conversations rarely end at YES. Customers reply with "can I change it to two?", a new address, or a voice note in Arabic. Handling those is where a template stops and an AI agent starts: ReplAi answers follow-ups, edits the order in Shopify, and keeps the confirmation moving without a human in the loop.
